Topic: Validation of Clinical AI: Where we are and where we are going
Sean Manion, PhD (Equideum Health)
Abstract

Interest in and exploration of clinical applications of artificial intelligence has been expanding rapidly, yet clinical AI lags behind many other industries in maturity level - with less than 1% of clinical AI having been clinically validated in some areas. This talk will focus on the current state of clinical AI and associated emerging technologies, the critical steps necessary for clinical validation, and the role statistics will play in broader clinical validation and generalizability of AI in the future.
