Parul Nisha, PhD (Cook MyoSite)

Operation

Parul Nisha, PhD, MSc. is currently working at Cook MyoSite. Parul has about 25 years of Life Sciences research experience inclusive of industry and academic research settings, within multiple indications and with product development cycles in drugs, biologics, medical devices, digital therapeutics, software as medical devices (SaMDs) and in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs). At her current role with CRS, Parul works with clinical development, clinical operations, global regulatory, scientific/medical writing, quality management and project management initiatives. She has experience with multiple indications - respiratory and sleep, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, dermatology, gastrointestinal, pediatric immune disorders, oncology, infectious disease, 3D bio-printed organs, precision medicine, real world evidence driven clinical programs, and digital health. Parul earned her PhD at Carnegie Mellon University with a focus in molecular epigenetics, followed by fellowships at NIH and Children’s’ Hospital of Pittsburgh, striving to understand the cellular and genetic pathways to cancer and pediatric immune disorders. Parul has authored peer-reviewed publications within both academic and industry settings and presented original research at numerous national and international conferences.

 

Parul is also very involved with her local communities as part of various organizations she is affiliated with for training, mentoring and promoting cultural connections. She is the current Chapter Vice Chair for Women in Bio, Executive Director for the Biotech Board, as well as Asian American Chamber of Commerce. She is also part of the current cohort of the Leadership Pittsburgh program that brings local senior leaders together to encourage cross- communication between various industrial (for-profit and non-profit) and academic (Higher Ed and K-12) sectors to benefit the local ecosystem.
